Your Questions, Answered

FAQs

The following questions are sme of the most frequent we get asked. You may even be thinking a few of these right now? Click on the question to reveal the answer.

If you have any questions or need any help, we are always very happy to answer them!

Do I have to book in?

We are 100% appointment only for jewellery changes, piercing and check up appointments.

What does it feel like? Will it really hurt?

Most piercings are no more than a short sharp scratch sensation at worst! We will always take our time to ensure you are as comfortable as possible when being pierced and take everything at your own pace.

If you are particularly nervous just let us know. We have years of training to ensure your experience is personal to you and as relaxing as possible.

Where are you?

We are located in West Sussex on the South Coast of England, just off of Worthing Seafront on West Buildings. The nearest parking is the AMF bowling alley.

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course! We allow friends and family, and have a child friendly policy.

We ask that no more than 2 people come into the studio with you if you are being pierced for safety and space reasons and it is important that all guests listen to the Piercer so they remain safe and do not interfere with the piercing.

I am pregnant/breast feeding. Can I still get a piercing?

Your body is working really hard to safely and healthy grow a life and it is important not to take any risk when doing so, as such we do not pierce anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

How should I prepare for my piercing?

It is important before any piercing to ensure you are well rested, hydrated and you have eaten recently. Please ensure you are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol as we will not pierce you if you are.

If you have any medical conditions or anything you think may interfere with your healing it is important to let your piercer know.

We will always check your anatomy to ensure you are suitable for your chosen piercing but it is worth making sure that you do not have anything in your day to day life or booked that could be a problem for healing.

This includes but is not limited to wearing headphones for work, hearing aids with certain piercings, holidays planned which involve swimming/excess physical demands, tight clothing or school/work/sporting commitments that may need your jewellery to be removed or hidden. It is also worth ensuring you have correct I.D (in the form of a passport or drivers licence)

I am worried about a piercing, what should I do?

If you have knocked or upset your piercing during its healing time, or have any concerns about how it is doing, please don’t hesitate to pop down to see us.

We are open 7 days a week and we have experienced trained staff on hand at all times to have a free consultation and check-up and keep you and your piercing happy and healthy!

What jewellery do you pierce with? Can you pierce with my own jewellery?

We pierce strictly with Medical Grade Titanium 6Al-4VEli ASTM:F-136.
We have a wide variety of high-quality body jewellery to initially start with, all made from this material as Titanium has almost no allergy issues and is the most biocompatible material (this is why they use it in Hospitals for hip replacements and pins etc!)

We cannot pierce you with your own jewellery as we need to ensure we know exactly what it is made of, that it has no micro tarnishes from being previously worn etc. so that we can ensure your piercing has the best chance of being happy, healthy and healing well.

How long until I can change my jewellery?

Every piercing has its own approximate minimum healing time (found here on our aftercare page (link)), but everybody is different.

Your piercing will heal at your body’s own rate and in its own way and although you can always make sure that it heals well by keeping it clean and looked after, some people’s bodies just take a little longer than others!

It is important not to try and rush your piercing healing and to listen to your body.

How old do I need to be to get X pierced? Do I have to bring a parent?

A list of minimum piercing ages is located on our policy page here and our age restrictions can be found below:

Age Restrictions:
